Update on Deanna’s character

Not to be left behind, I finished the line and color work for Deanna’s character. You’ll notice the spit up on her shirt…which will be a permanant accessory for her. In case you didn’t know, Deanna is a proud new mom. And what’s a mom without a mega-purse…thus the kangaroo. Look for all kinds of stuff to appear from her pouch in future webisodes.

Kate finally gets a character

After patiently waiting for her character to be added to the roster of the Big Green Ape web comic, Kate finally got her’s. As a dancer and girly girl the consencus around the club house was that the flamingo was a pretty good fit.
The Start of Grilling Season

I will admit that I have run out of gas while grilling before…just not this past weekend. Ryan was just telling me that he has a spare tan, which is probably a good way to keep from looking stupid. My brother-in-law had a 15 gallon tank, which is pretty damn manly. Down side to that is you can’t get by with a mediocre grill.

Holiday Weekends

The problem for do-it-yourself guys like me is that every 3 day weekend ends up being a mad dash to tackle some insane project. This past weekend was the nonsensical sprinkler system at my house. I’m sure that it worked some time in the past…the distant past…but not since we’ve lived there.
After digging up most of the yard we finally have come to understand what is actually in the ground. Thankfully we’re just abotu finished with the project. Just need to run about 400 ft. of control wire around from station to station and hook up the control box. It’s hard to imagine that we’re close to completing this, especially since it looked like the golf course in Caddy Shack at one point.
All this hard work will pay off when I have the BEST YARD IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! I am gunning for yard supremacy. Now that I am fully middle aged the yard tyhing has become a priority.

To occupy my time today during an extremely long phone call I worked on Deanna’s new character. We’ve decided that she does need some article of clothing, so I think a shirt with some spit up on it would be appropriate….in light of her being a new Mom and all.

Even those characters that you think would be easy, really aren’t. Here is where I ended up on Ryan’s character.
UPDATE: Ryan came dressed in his “uniform” today so I thought I’d show how accurate his character is.
