Spotify Playlists

With the new Facebook live ticker and the link in from the music service Spotify, you get to see what your friends are listening to….all day long. Lawrence and I got to see how Heather was working out some of her stress this week. I think the crew at Zipline now knows the words to most of Avril Lavigne’s songs. Enjoy boys…
Thank You Steve Jobs.

I have been using Apple Computers for over 25 years. I remember the computer lab back at old Mead High School with all the 512K Macs and the Mona Lisa the teacher had. I remember being one of the only design students at WSU doing my assignments on a Mac. I remember buying my first Mac, a Quadra 6100 (the pizza box). And now all the Apple products I carry with me daily.
I remember when I started out as a designer and the Mac was just starting to make it’s way into the industry. It was truly magical….and it still is today. Thanks to Steve Jobs for his leadership, drive and creativity. You are one of the great masters. Your vision has truly changed the world.
The Beatles come to iTunes
0It’s funny how the value of historical events fade as time goes by. The “big announcement” from Apple was that The Beatles are now available on iTunes. For those of us who grew up with their music, this is kinda cool. Now I would imagine if I was in my 50′s and the Beatles had sung the anthems of my glory days I would be really excited.
As I am the senior staff member around the office, my perspective on the significance of this event is a little different that those who weren’t around for the 70′s…or even most of the 80′s. If you’re truly going to have the end-all-be-all music store, it’s just not complete without the single most influential band of all time. So finally, the long missing piece has been added and iTunes can move forward.
If you listen to an mp3 backwards can you hear a message saying that Paul is dead? (if you’re over 40 you’ll get this)
Note: I’d like to introduce a couple of our staff members who appear in this strip. Dustin Dikes (the dog with the shaggy hair) and Vou Xiong (appearing as Pikachu).
Happiness is a new iPhone 4

Well it finally happened. Ryan and I went out and got our new iPhone 4s….and we’re so happy we did. I really like my iPhone3 (now belonging to Mrs. Big Green Ape), but this new version is amazing. The best thing is the sharper screen. Don’t get me wrong, the old screen was good, but these old eyes need any help they can get. It’s sharp and crisp and very helpful when I do my reading first thing in the morning.
Ryan has already mastered FaceTime, sharing videos of his lunch warming up in the microwave. I think we’re going to have fun with these.
Zipline welcomes our new Production Coordinator

On Monday, August 2nd Zipline Interactive added a new member to the team…Heather DeCamp. She’s a recent graduate from Eastern Washington University with a degree in Technical Communications. During her internship with us she showed what a big help she can be to the office and we’re happy to have her on board.
Time permitting, I like to create cartoon characters for the people around the office. Heather’s personality made it pretty easy to come up with her’s.
Welcome aboard Heather!
